Is Download X free?
Yes. Download X is completely free and there is no limit on the number of videos you can download.
Do I need an X account or to log in?
No. You only need the link of a public post. We never ask for your X username or password.
Where are downloaded videos saved?
Files go to your browser’s default download folder — usually “Downloads” on computers and Android, and the Files app → Downloads on iPhone and iPad.
Which video qualities can I download?
Every quality X stores for the post: typically 360p, 720p and 1080p, and sometimes 4K. We always show the best one first.
Can I download videos from private accounts?
No. Only public posts can be downloaded. Protected accounts are private and we respect that.
Can I download X live broadcasts?
Yes. Paste the post or broadcast link (x.com/i/broadcasts/…). Once a live stream ends, the full replay can be downloaded as a single video file.
How do I convert an X video to MP3?
Paste the post link, then choose the “Audio” button under the video. You can also use our Twitter to MP3 tool.
What is the 2007x.com shortcut?
Change “x.com” in any post URL to “2007x.com”. For example x.com/user/status/123 becomes 2007x.com/user/status/123 and your download opens immediately.
Is it legal to download videos from X?
Downloading for personal, offline viewing is generally fine, but the content belongs to its creator. Do not re-upload or use videos commercially without permission.
Do you keep a copy of the videos I download?
No. Videos stream from X’s servers through ours straight to your device, without being saved. We do not store media or keep a history of your downloads; the recent-downloads list you may see lives only in your own browser.
Can I download videos from X direct messages (DMs)?
No. Videos sent in direct messages are private and only visible while you are logged in to your X account, so Download X — like any downloader that does not ask for your login — cannot reach them. To keep a DM video, ask the sender for the original file or to share it in a public post, then download it from that link.
Do I need X Premium to download videos?
No. X Premium only lets subscribers save some videos inside the app, and only when the author allows it. With Download X you can download any video, GIF or photo from a public post for free, in the best available quality, without an account or subscription.
